In cruise ships

In shops

In your home

In your car

In your eyes.

Windows to look out of

Windows to see inside

Windows to open, to close,

to break, to protect.

What would it be like

to live without windows?

We don’t think about it.

Windows are invisible

in our everyday lives

but so very important.

Without windows

we can’t know

what’s outside,

what’s inside,

what matters.

Without windows

we are locked in, locked out,

and blind.
